Glistening under the
setting sun
It charges up
under and over my feet, bringing powder,
shells and other marine
objects to the earth. It feels
cool. Like the cold floor
after the rain. It hugs the powdery ground
like a blanket, my toes wiggling in delight
making small circles on the chalky
floor.
Hopping out, I catch a glimpse
of my footprints, before the aquas drag them
away into the ocean
where they will float down
awaiting the next time
they will rise up
again.
